Colour Maisch
FIrst of all, with a name like that how could you not be a creative genius.
I was introduced to Colour by a colleague who directed her my way (thankfully) to do some technical drawings for one of her sculptures. We met over the course of many weeks working out the details to get something together for her fabricators. I'm unsure of what will become of the master piece we worked on together (it's in a bidding stage that can take months), but over that course of time I was lucky enough to get a little insight into this artists mind.
She's a beautiful person and I adore her work. Hopefully we will all be hearing and seeing a lot more of this girl. Check out more of her work on her site here.

Traditional Streak
I've always had a hard time putting my finger on where I fit between traditional and contemporary. I am constantly excited about new ideas and clean contemporary looks, but I can't help it. I melt when i see beautifully lived in things as well. I guess my favorite part about each is how they can compliment and showcase the other.
I have been doing a lot of work on one of THE most traditional projects I have ever been a part of. It's also a project with the biggest budget I have ever seen. Sooo, I've been loving so many of the amazing traditional works too. This article introduced me to someone more on the traditional side, yet with a daring flare for bucking the system as well.
The designer's name is Max Rollitt.

Morning Reads and Looks
This morning I started my surfing with an article I marked to read on T Magazine Blog Timely - Prop Star Kate Dougherty. She was a stylist on "Moon Rise Kingdom" = instant crush. Turns out she's as cool as I would have imagined (well, what the article exposes anyway).
I've been thinking about events a lot more lately now that I've been working with Meld (we have a big one coming up in January) and her combination of ideas is as quirky and playful as it gets. Plus it reminds me of Brooklyn and I always love that.
Once on the Kate Dougherty site some perusing brought me to a link to this photographer.
Les Loups pics are worth a look. He does a lot of weddings and has a cool editorial look. Nice to see something new. I'm not big into having my picture taken, but I think I would be into this guy. Plus the music he plays on his site is the perfect mix. I ended up leaving the window open while I continued on my merry way through the internets.

Reath
This blog is a Tomboy Style advertisement some times I know, but once again she's found a new girl for me to crush on. Frances Merril is a lady with a lust worthy resume and a laid back creative style that I would love to get a chance at. Maybe all of my dream clients are in L.A.?? Her design firm is called Reath.
