Thoreau

"Direct your eye right inward, and you'll find
A thousand regions in your mind
Yet undiscovered. Travel them, and be
Expert in home-cosmography"
Walden, Chapter 18

Branch Craft #2

This is another piece I would love to try and recreate . . .

Branch Chandelier

George Town, Seattle

I came upon a neighborhood while in Seattle that I felt like I could have spent the whole day. It's a very industrial underground feel and there are a bunch of vintage and antique shops showing up. It's called George Town. I went there because I had read about Kirk Albert's shop on remodelista. It was so worth it. I even had a chance to talk shop with one of the buyers there. Who knows, it could have even been Kirk Albert himself?

Next door is the feminine version of the down town seattle antique shop called Susan Wheeler Home. Fell in love with this place too.

Crafts

Everybody's crafting, especially with the holiday's coming up and I'm drawing a blank. I honestly couldn't think of one thing I would want to make, holiday or not, until I found this beauty.
I don't even know where I would put it, but I like how sculptural the branches are.

Totokaelo

I've posted about this web site before. I love everything this girl does. It's mostly an online shop, but while I'm up here in Seattle I decided to go see the shop in the flesh. My heart hurts looking at this place. I would seriously buy everything if I could, but I can't afford to buy one thing. The lady was so patient to let me walk through the whole store and look at every last piece.

Saw this coat. Love it.

Tried these on. I look amazing in them.

These boots are unreal and they're over $1,300. Yes, you heard me.

Reino Vegetal

These are out of an article in the home magazine "Para Ti Deco" in Buenos Aires. I love the sculptural use of these plants. I don't know how you could actually live like this (i.e. dust), but what a wonderful space. Now if I could only read the article.
