sneaky

Do you think she's sneaking in or out?  Either way I love it.
Another by Annabel Mehran.

Oded Ezner

How beautiful is this print?  Oded Ezner is the Isreali designer that created it.  I discovered him in a typography book while in DC.  If only I knew what it all means?

NY Inspiration

Kent Rogowski's work at Jen Beckman Gallery

Rag & Bone Pre-Spring
Erie Basin's Book Chain Necklace

Because over half the time I spent in NY I was cruising my favorite shops (old and new) I compiled a list of the highlights. Thanks for the inspiration:

Ernest Sewn
Jen Beckman
Ochre
Saipua
BDDW
Rag & Bone
Future Perfect
Beacons Closet
Erie Basin
Muji
Moss

Funny, with all of the "shopping" I did you would have thought I bought a lot of stuff - actually I'm getting pretty good at just looking at the goods.

Interior Motives

Yippy!  Finally another post on YHO!

Spring 09

Vouge posted these spring get ups under their trend report for the up coming season.  Check out style.com for the full run down, but here are some of my favorites.

Almost as good as the design are the labels Vouge gave to these trends:

First off - Depression Chic
oddest name perhaps, but probably one of my favorites - so quaint

I've come across a horribly fantastic show that so happens to run on PBS.  It's called "Tess of the D'Ubervilles" and it's romantic and silly, and really fun to watch.  You can see the first episode here.  I'm warning you though - you'll be hooked.
UPDATE: I watched both of the episodes that make up this mini series and they need to come with a warning - Only watch it if you need a good cry!!!

An American in Paris

I'm cursed with sleeplessness so I watched "An American in Paris" tonight/this morning - sexy poster right??

Gene Kelly is a never hard to watch - some how he makes men in tights manly. What was really stunning about this movie for me was not Mr. Kelly though, not this time anyway. It was Leslie Caron, his love interest in the film.
Turns out she was a French ballerina discovered by Kelly and cast in AAIP when she was just 19. I thought she was so cute!
... and she really reminded me of this look-a-like beauty (and friend of mine) - Mrs. Monica James
