I saw The Reader this week
It's initial impact on me was the the subdued colors and general simplicity. The cinematography, set design, and "costumes" I guess you would call them were so serene and simple.
Though after mainly being taken by the visuals of the movie the plot went and got all amazing. I thought it was a powerful story - definitely worth seeing.

i loooved this movie too. it was so interesting and yes, i hear ya on the cinemetography. we just watched..."let the right one in" it's a scary vampire movie and the whole time i was watching the cinemetography. everyone probably thought i was such a nerd because while this chick was sucking on blood i was saying how perty it was. you should watch it, i scary!
