2 Michaels

I came upon an article on the design duo 2 Michaels. They are twin sisters from Utah that came to New York to be models and ended up as interior designers. I admire their willingness to try something new and really go for it. It's paid off because they do beautiful work. Maybe they'll be looking for a new assistant?

Red Hook Dreamers

I've probably mentioned this before, but Carly and Fritz pretty much live (one of) my dream life (s). First reason is because they live in Red Hook which I adore. One of my favorite neighborhoods in Brooklyn.

Next is because they get to live with these two . . .

AND they just redid a little apartment that they live in above the warehouse that Fritz's company owns. It's so sweet and it makes me want to move right in!

This bathtub is in a small room between their front room and their kitchen. I love that it's just our in the open.

They also have been recently buying, selling, and restoring these old light fixtures which are sooo cool. Sure wish I could afford them.

New Job

Out in New York for a project with the Smillow's and I am sooooo happy to have the opportunity to work with them again.

The game plan is to move them (and design them) from this 8,000 sq ft loft . . .

To this 3,000 sq ft town house . . .

I hope I can work some magic to make it feel like home!
