Photography
I'm on the prowl for art, furniture, ideas . . . always, but now in particular for the Hampton House. I think some large scale photography would be really perfect in their place. Photography seems to give even the most formal environments a "don't take yourself too seriously" feel. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's how I'm feel'n. Feel free to give me hints on photographers and or artists I can check out it you're so inspired!
Hampton House
I just met with my Hampton House clients, and they are so great. So great.
We have a good understanding of each other, and we seem to be on the same page as to how great their place can (and will!) be - with some minor adjustments of course.
They really responded to this image I found on Amanda's blog. It's perfect for their place because it's casual, comfortable, but beautifully detailed. I'm in love with them and their house.

Flannel
It makes me itchy even thinking of flannel right now (it's so hot and humid!!), but I took this shot of Caroline's piles of flannel shirts because I have come to a realization. I love flannel/ plaids. I don't know if it's from my pioneer heritage, or my grandpa wearing his thick flannel wool jacket while stacking wood at the cabin, but I love them.
