This blog is a Tomboy Style advertisement some times I know, but once again she's found a new girl for me to crush on.  Frances Merril is a lady with a lust worthy resume and a laid back creative style that I would love to get a chance at.  Maybe all of my dream clients are in L.A.??  Her design firm is called Reath.

I'm an avid Remodelista follower; often find them irritatingly spot on in their aesthetic and posting on this hotel is an epic example of just that.  This hotel makes my heart ache. My dream project would look something like this . . .

MELD DESIGN

What a stroke of luck I had about a year ago when I ran into one of the Meld founders.  Gary was installing an amazing branch installation at a clients house and we hit it off from the get go.  I was there working for another designer, but I was not shy about introducing myself and telling him to contact me if he thought I could help him with his work.  Off and on since then I have been collaborating with him and his partner Kara to get this thing going.  I have high hopes for Meld.  I completely believe in what they stand for and I'm excited to be a part of the party.

Drafting & Rendering

A designer I work for sent me to this site to see these drawings.  This is probably nerd out rendering stuff but I think they're pretty amazing.  I've got a long way to go it looks like.

I got looking through a clients old file to find some info for her and it was such a nostalgic experience.  What a magical time in my life - living on my own in nyc, in school, poor, and motivated.  These guys gave me a chance on an amazing job.
