Progress

These are updated photos of the Charles Street house. I was so excited this morning to see how things were coming along I almost forgot how much we still have to do (in 4 weeks).

These are the floors through most of the house. It's the old pine sub-floor (the floor that supports the actual floor material). Which in our case was an old parquet floor that was in bad shape. We gambled by pulling the whole parquet floor up and working with the pine. When I saw how great this floor looked after being sanded I almost didn't want it stained as planned.

... but then I saw it stained and got really excited because it looks amazing! Totally makes the whole place feel a lot more sophisticated.

Jesse Chehak

This photographer photographed the article I read about Amandiri - and although I couldn't find any of the images from the magazine online he does have some other great ones in his portfolio. I really looove his pale raw images.

Amangiri

Read about this resort on my flight - it's located in Southern Utah between Lake Powell, Zions, and Bryce. Some guy purchased this primo land - 600 acres worth in Canyon Point, Utah. Kind of hate that it's there, but would of course really love to stay there. $800 a night.

The same owner also has resorts in Bhutan, Philippines, Thailand, and a couple other places that I don't even recognize. See more here.

Dries Van Noten

Ok, so I would obviously never wear these dresses myself, but how hot are they?

I just wish she wasn't wearing these boots with the long one esp.
See more of Dries Van Noten's gorgeous fall newbies here.

Androgyny

I like it.

Longer

I have been on the hunt for cool long dresses and skirts for what seems like years now - so few and far between. Maybe I should take that as a clue that they're out of style?
Nope, still interested. Let me know if you come by any.

Funny Face

Watched Funny Face last night and I'm so bummed that you can't use the image capture when you're watching DVD's! There were so many amazing shots in that movie. The set design, camera angles, everything was surprisingly interesting and wonderful. Although this is a beautimous shot of Ms. Hepburn it by no means lives up to the color and fun of the movie. Love finding new jems like that.
